Charter Cabana Boys
We wish to acknowledge the eight, brave, insightful men who stepped forward in 2008 to launch our donor base of men, affectionately known as Cabana Boys. They set the bar high for future Cabana Boys and we are eternally grateful for their generosity. These men shall forever be deemed as the Fabulously Original Charter Cabana Boys.
Mitch Epstein
Mitch has been in restaurant management for over 31 years and currently owns Mitch’s on El Paseo. A native of San Bernardino and a graduate of San Diego State University, he is known for his philanthropic nature and warm hospitality.
Brian Harnik
Brian is Senior Partner of the law firm Roemer & Harnik and well-known and respected for the extensive time and energy he gives to our local community. Brian and his wife Jan, who is on the Board of Directors of GFF, have four daughters and reside in Palm Desert.
Harold Matzner
Harold is the owner of Spencer’s Restaurant in Palm Springs and CEO of a New Jersey-based branding, advertising and marketing company. His philanthropic efforts are legendary and have earned him the 269th star on the Palm Springs Walk of Fame.
Tim Snyder
Service defines much of the professional and personal life of Tim Snyder. Tim has amassed an impressive career in the food service industry and currently is the Managing Partner of Pacifica Seafood Restaurant. Tim has been a longtime supporter of our organization. He and his wife Stephanie have four children.
Mark Sofonio
Dr. Sofonio is a Board Certified plastic surgeon with a special interest and extensive experience in performing aesthetic surgery. A native of the Coachella Valley, his reputation for patient care has earned him numerous awards and recognitions.
Terry Weiner
Terry Weiner is Chief Executive Officer of Leeds & Son Jewelers in Palm Desert, California. During his 30-year tenure in this position, the company has grown into one of the premier luxury jewelers in the United States. Terry is also CEO of Baron & Leeds Jewelers in Hawaii.
Peter Scheer
Born in Hamburg, Germany, Dr. Scheer has been in private practice in the Coachella Valley since 1986. He is a world renowned Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon as well as a Board Certified Cosmetic Surgeon known internationally for implementing and teaching the latest techniques both here and abroad.
